Veronica’s aim is to develop students with the freedom of movement that comes from a firm technical foundation, grace, style and attitude. Her classes are filled with professionals and aspiring students all working in a fun, supportive atmosphere towards the common goal of self-improvement without judgment.
Veronica starts her class with a dynamic warm up. The warm up focuses on anatomy and the alignment of the body. The warm up works on strengthen, stretching and conditioning the body; preparing the body for dancing by weight exchange, off center work, core work, balance and a full range of motion. This dance preparation is increased by floor work including turns, jumps and directional work that can be used in combinations.
Her class is a supportive environment for dancers that want to explore their physical possibilities and imagination in dance. From the warm up to the cool down, the dancers become more aware of their anatomy, spacing while moving, and becoming comfortable with dancing breathing and control. She works to bring out the best in each student and encourage students to express their unique personality and creative approach to the material.
This course emphasizes training; sense of rhythm, body coordination, performing skills and creative thinking. Set to pop music, simple jazz and gymnastic techniques are taught. It allows the students to learn in a fun and energetic environment while promoting self- improvement.
Elementary course: suitable for beginners aged 6 to adults
